Empty Classroom Day

by swisscottage / June 24th, 2014 / in Archive 2013/14 / 0 Comments

The sun was shining for Empty Classroom day on Friday 24th of June. We took to our playgrounds, terraces and gardens and found creative ways to enjoy learning outside.

Redwood class enjoyed a horticultural inspired treasure hunt and learnt about the flowers, herbs and plants growing in our greenhouse and playgrounds. Learners also learnt about the lifecycle of strawberry plants and even got to taste the yummy home-grown fruit.

Oak class enjoyed their maths lesson in the sunshine, counting and measuring the different structures outside in our playground.

Our boring concrete playground was transformed into a work of art as learners used chalk to draw beautiful murals on the unlimited space! Some of the designs were as big as our imaginations.

The little ones from Yellow Class enjoyed a walk around the mulberry bush and investigated the climbing frames.
