Remembrance at Swiss Cottage

Learners from Upper School all participated in a special Remembrance assembly last Friday hosted by  Nelson Mandela Class. Upper School spent the day learning about Remembrance Day and crafting their own beautiful poppies. During the assembly each young person added their poppy to a large collage which will go on display in the main reception this week. We then had a minuets silence to think about all our loved ones.

Learners from Rosa Parks Class will be selling poppies around the school over the next few days. These poppies raise money for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal and raise funds for essential welfare work for service men and women, veterans, and their families.

The poppies are a mark of remembrance and are a powerful symbol. It is work to commemorate the sacrifices of our Armed Forces and to show support to those still serving today and their loved ones.
