Well done to Ahon from Redwood Class for winning the borough schools competition to design a Camden Christmas card for the Mayor of Camden.

Molly Garfield-Lichy, from Frank Barnes School for Deaf Children won the e-card design.

Molly’s reindeer design is the official Camden Council e-card and Ahon’s card design, of a festive fireplace and Christmas tree, were printed for the Mayor, Leader and Chief Executive to send over the festive period.

‘I’m extremely proud’ said Brenna, Ahon’s art teacher ‘Ahon’s Christmas card was extremely bold and professional, showing a strong creative flair, and this is reflected throughout all his art work, across different projects.’

Ahon invited classmates Carl and Tammy to come with him to meet the Mayor for tea at Camden Town Hall.

Ahon was delighted with his invitation to visit the Mayor’s Parlour and said it was “the best day of his life”.

The children each received £20 worth of gift vouchers from the Mayor as congratulations on winning the competition.
