Learners and staff attended an award ceremony at Canary Warf last week and collected a cheque for £5,000 as winners of the HSBC/British Council Link2Learn Awards 2013 which recognises us as the best Special School for international work.
This year entrants were required to submit a statement of up to 900 words describing their international work and its impact on the school.
This award is in addition to our International School Award, which is a badge of honour for schools that do outstanding work in international education, such as through links with partner schools overseas. Fostering an international dimension in the curriculum is at the heart of the British Council’s work with schools, so that our young people gain the cultural understanding and skills they need to live and work as global citizens.
