Dear Families,

As you know, the school building experienced significant flooding yesterday, and all four floors of the building were impacted. Thank you for your understanding as we moved across to a Virtual School. The flooding was internal through the building’s ceiling panels, light fixtures, and across floors.

The damage and status of the school was assessed with members of Camden Local Authority Buildings Team and the company that runs this building. This finished at 2:30pm.

As of 2:30pm the school still has specific classrooms, specialist rooms, and offices with:
- no electricity and damaged light fixtures
- water coming through ceiling panels
- wet carpets and flooring
- damaged computers, furniture, and resources from the flood.

We are informed by the Local Authority that the measures to resolve this for classrooms will be in place throughout this evening and tomorrow. We will keep the specialist spaces and office spaces closed so that the response can focus on classrooms tomorrow. That will allow us to ensure we can get the pupils back into the school building on Thursday.

This means learning will still be virtual tomorrow (Wednesday, 14th July 2021). Your class teacher will outline the plan. All pupils return to the school building on Thursday, 15th July 2021.

If you have any questions, please email or call the school on 02076818080.

Yours Sincerely,

Vijita Patel Peter Sprinz
Principal Co-Chair of Governing Board
