Dear Parents, Carers, and Families,
Good afternoon, and we hope this finds you well and safe. The letter on Friday shared our hopes that cases may be settling for our school community. Unfortunately, we have experienced a rise. This week we have already confirmed 12 positive cases of COVID-19: 4 are for pupils in the Upper School and 8 are for staff members.
We continue to work closely with our local Public Health England team and the London Coronavirus Response Cell.
During this risk assessment process, we received confirmation that lateral home test kits which only use nasal swabs will be provided to us so that we can distribute them to families. It would allow you to have access to home test kits that may be more ideal for your child’s profile if you want to complete a home test. Lateral flow testing is highly effective to identify the virus when symptoms are not present.
Your child’s home-school communication book has a sticker within it so that you can confirm if you would like to receive one of the nasal swab test kits. Please confirm this by Thursday so that we can distribute the test kits on Friday via your child’s school bag.
Our safety measures remain in place, and we will explore reductions in those measures after the half term due to the current rise in COVID-19 cases for our vulnerable school community. Thank you for the ongoing support. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Yours Sincerely,
Vijita Patel | Rebecca Shaw | Mia Dodsworth |
