It was all glitz and glam as fashionista’s gathered at Swiss Cottage School for a evening of shopping to raise money for Pigs4Kids.
More than 200 guests attended and were offered a glass of pink prosecco before sampling canapés made by learners in Upper School and guests went home with bags full of fabulous designer labels.
Ana Ayesta, a local neighbour masterminded the evening and encouraged friends and neighbours of Swiss Cottage to donate barely used high-end designer shoes, clothes and accessories to the school.
Learners from Upper School then helped implement the evening as part of their Enterprise Project. Pupils from Ghandi and Pankhurst class spent the better part of two weeks sorting, tagging and hanging clothes, creating decorations, planning menus and cooking delicious food.
The evening generated over £3200 and an additional £329.45 was raised by selling remaining items to staff during a mini lunchtime market. All money raised will go towards supporting important programming for our learners. Pupils from Upper School will use some of the funding raised to plan their next Enterprise Project.
A big thank you for everyone who donated volunteered and purchased items! You can read more about our fantastic glam party in our article in the Ham&High.Tags: pigs4kids
