Rosa Parks Class in Upper School has been participating in a nationwide art project run by United Response called ‘Postcards from the Edge’.
Pupils produced postcards that express the things they love in life including; family, friends, sports, music and pets and one learner wrote “I like making a cup of tea for my dad”.
The art is available to view online but more excitingly potentially be part of a large installation that will tour the country:
- London Bankside – week commencing 9th September
- Newcastle Baltic Gallery – week commencing 30th September
- Bristol Grant Bradley Gallery – week commencing 21st October
- Liverpool (gallery tbc) – week commencing 4th November
Anyone with a disability, who loves, cares or works with a person with a disability can get involved in the project and create and submit their own postcard. Visit www.postcardsfromtheedges.org.uk for more information.
