Our school raised a total of £255 for Comic Relief, earlier this month and all our learners pitched in doing something funny for money.
Redwood Class decided staff and students needed some papering and sold refreshments and manicures while Pine Class helped everyone get their 5-a-day by setting up a fruit stall selling strawberries, grapes, apples and pears.
Year 9 converted one of their classrooms into a comedy photography studio with lots of silly accessories for pupils to pose for fun photos.
Mandela Class got their hands dirty with a ‘clean getaway’ car wash and scrubbed dirty cars and bikes until they sparkled!
Even the staff donned red noses, wigs and shirts to dance to ‘One Way or Another’ the official red nose day anthem sung by One Direction. You can watch their smooth moves here.
The money raised will help give people in the UK shelter to young people living on the streets and protection to those living with domestic abuse. The money also helps those in Africa, saving thousands from malaria and providing communities with fresh water and life-saving vaccines.Tags: Comic Relief
