Rainbows of Hope and Joy

Our school community includes so many keyworkers and includes NHS therapists, nurses, doctors, dieticians, practitioners, and social workers. They are currently on the frontline in hospitals and across the community. We would like to show them and other keyworkers our support through the rainbows your child and family have created at home during this lockdown period. Please send a picture of your child’s creative message of hope to the class teacher. We will bring them together on our school website, twitter, and newsletters.

Physical Resource Pack

A set of physical resources to support and engage your child at home will be delivered by Amazon. The resources will link to the home learning activities the teachers are planning for the weekly timetable. Please let your teacher know when you receive this pack so that ideas for practical activities can be explored together. We hope you will find this helpful and useful alongside the other learning resources that are created by the class teams and specialists.

Free School Meals Vouchers and ‘Magic Breakfast Charity’ Parcel Option

Families that qualify for free school meals have received another Sainsbury’s voucher. We are working with the Magic Breakfast Charity so that you also receive a breakfast parcel. This will also be delivered by Amazon so that you can receive it by next week. Please check the letter that went home if you receive Free School Meals and confirm with the class teacher if you would like to receive a free breakfast items parcel. We need your confirmation to process your address into their secure system. If you have a question, please ask the class teacher.

PMLD Awareness Day

5th May 2020 is a day to support and celebrate people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). “Wear something bright to ignite your senses” and show our support on PMLD Awareness Day! Send a picture to the class teacher if you want us to highlight you in the school twitter and newsletter.

Ramadan Mubarak

Warm wishes to every family celebrating Ramadan during the month of reflection and fasting from their homes due to lockdown.

The Education Endowment Foundation has created resources for families to support the home learning process during lockdown. You will already have your structures and routines in place. We are sharing the resources in case you find them useful in your planning for the home environment during lockdown.

Take care and wishing your family safety.
