Update: Positive Case of COVID-19 & Positive Lateral Flow Test Result

by swisscottage / February 8th, 2021 / in Uncategorized /

Dear Parents, Carers, and Families

We hope this finds you well. We are writing to provide two updates today.

  1. We wrote to you last week to inform you of positive COVID-19 cases in the Upper School’s Black Bubble. A member of staff from that class tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend. This means a total of 3 staff and 1 pupil has now tested positive from this Black Bubble. The class currently remains in self-isolation.
  • A member of staff from the Upper School’s Orange Bubble tested positive during today’s lateral flow testing. In line with the government guidelines, we identified 5 direct contacts to that member of staff. They are all from the same class team and we have moved all 6 members of staff into self-isolation. The pupils in that class are not contacts because we did not allow them to enter the classroom. They have transitioned to the Virtual School because their entire class team is in self-isolation.

We are working closely with the London Coronavirus Response Cell and Camden & Islington Public Health Teams. We advise that you continue to monitor your child and family for symptoms due to the ongoing pandemic. If your child develops any symptoms, please contact the school and we can support you. The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:

  • a new continuous cough
  • a high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact reception on 02076818080, email support@swisscottage.camden.sch.uk, or speak to us at the school gates. We want to ensure you are supported as you receive this update on additional positive cases within our school community.

Yours Sincerely,
