‘What’s Special about Special?’ enables Early Career Teachers to embark on their
career having had a meaningful encounter with a specialist SEND setting. Also aimed at Teachers who would like to find out more about how they incorporate specific SEND strategies in their classroom.
The programme for the day involves workshops (delivered by special educators with
experience of both special and mainstream schools) and learning walks. This one day CPDL conference will dive into Teaching and Learning at Swiss Cottage School and
explore our strategic processes.
The conference will include:
- Working with Pupils with Special Educational Needs
- The differences between Mainstream and a Special School
- Learning Walks
- Communication Methods in Special Schools
- Behaviour Management vs Behaviour Strategies
