Dear Parents and Carers,

On Tuesday 18th November, twenty of our pupils from a range of different classes across the school performed in the annual Shakespeare Schools Festival at the prestigious Shaw Theatre. This is one of the world’s largest youth drama events, bringing together hundreds of schools from across the country to perform their own interpretations of scenes from a Shakespeare play of their choice.

This year, our performance was based on the famous tragedy Romeo and Juliet. Each of our budding thespians shone in their roles, bringing their own flair through their unique personalities. The pupils have been attending rehearsals since September and were accompanied by our student band, who did a fantastic job enhancing the production with their dramatic musical performances.

All our pupils performed with confidence and style, and we received numerous compliments from highly appreciative audience members after the event. Well done, everyone!

On Thursday we celebrated World Children’s day by celebrating and prompting children’s rights. To mark this very important occasion, members of our school community wore blue and took part in activities to raise awareness. All our members of Ruby Pathway also celebrated by participating in a magical sensory story production of The Boy with Flowers in his Hair.

A reminder that this Tuesday’s Coffee Morning session is an opportunity for Parents and Carers to meet members of the Senior Leadership Team and to share ideas on how we can make the school even better. All are welcome.

Yours Sincerely,

Syra Sowe
Principal (Interim)
