Dear Families,

The final three weeks of the Autumn Term start next week, and we are looking forward to bringing festive cheer to the community in the lead up to the holidays. The next three weeks will bring a range of activities to pupils through class and pathway activities. This includes the annual Winter Festival bringing classes together around music, art, and sensory activities .

5th - 8th December: Our school 'festive trees' will be decorated across the week with pupil decorations.

7th December: We are supporting the charity 'Save the Children' again this year with their annual 'Christmas Jumper Day'. All pupils are invited to wear a festive jumper in support of the charity. Student Council are choosing the winners with the staff jumper competition!

Tuesday 10am Parent/Carer Coffee Mornings for the final three weeks of term:

5th December 10am: Speech and Language Therapists Workshop
12th December 10am: Occupational Therapists workshop with tips on how to support children during the holiday period.
19th December 10am: Festive Parent/Carer Coffee Morning. Join us from 10am as we end the term together to view videos of the different festive activities across classes and pathways at their Winter Festival. The Charity Trustees will also be joining the group from 10:15-10:45am to share the updates on what they have fundraised for the school provision, and share their fundraising targets to help our school community. The EmployMEnt Pathway will also showcase items for sale to raise funds for resources including their amazing pottery and festive cards.

Winter Festive Cards: Pupils have designed our annual Winter Festive Cards, which are published and packaged by our Sixth Form 'EmployMEnt Pathway' as part of their Social Enterprise initiative. The designs look fantastic, represent each curriculum pathway, and are available to purchase with all proceeds going to pupil resources. www.cardanddesign-sc.co.uk

21st December 2023: Last day of the term.

Holiday Food Appeal: Thank you to families that have sent items in to support our Local Food Bank. We are supporting the Camden Foodbank to bring long-life emergency food parcels to local families in food crisis. Please see the attached flyer and bring any donations to the school reception. Our Sixth Form will be involved in delivering the donation from the Swiss Cottage School community. You can make direct donations to the Foodbank through the addresses or internet shopping details on the flyer. Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,
Swiss Cottage School
