Dear Families,

We hope this finds you well. Classes across each pathway are exploring the seasonal changes, and preparing for the cross-curricular Black History Month activities next week.
As part of Black History Month events and in celebration of our school diversity - all pupils and staff invited to wear traditional heritage clothing on Thursday, 19th October 2023.

Parent/Carer Class Representative: We invited parents/carers to share interest they may have in being a Class Representative for this academic year. We are providing additional information on the role, communication guidelines, and links for two optional briefing sessions.

The role of the Parent Representative is to encourage strong school & parent/carer communication, cooperation and community cohesion.
This is mainly through administrating the class communication channels for those parents that want to join, including:

  • Passing useful information from school
  • Directing enquiries or concerns to people/departments who can help
  • Encouraging participation in community events
  • Ensuring any class communication group complies with the communication guidelines and supports the Swiss community ethos

How will we support you?

  • Being available to respond to questions and suggestions and to provide guidance
  • Meeting with senior leads each half term to discuss issues and needs across the community
  • Having a group email with school leaders and administrators wherein we will send you messages directly.

We will have a brief online meeting to explain the role and answer any questions. This is open to all parents/carers.
